Since 1991, Mastervolt has been developing, manufacturing and distributing technologies for independent electricity generation in homes, ships and vehicles. The company is also a global market leader in power generation systems for yachts. As early as 1993, Mastervolt launched its first photovoltaic inverter, the Sunmaster 130, which the company developed in collaboration with Shell Solar and Ecofys. Mastervolt is thus a true pioneer in the industry.
Today, Mastervolt has branches in over 80 countries on all continents of the world. The company’s headquarters, development division and manufacturing division for central inverters are based inAmsterdam,Netherlands, where 90 staff are employed, and its most important distribution organizations are based inCologne(Germany), Milano(Italy),Cannes(France) and Romsey(UK).
Mastervolt supplies photovoltaic inverters ranging in output from 0.6 kWp to 25 kWp. The technology used in all the company’s devices is designed to achieve the highest yields, even in variable weather conditions or in combination with a multitude of different PV module types. In contrast to products manufactured by other providers, a variety of plant sizes and different types of solar modules can thus be covered with relatively few inverter types. This flexibility reduces training times and storage requirements for installers and distributors alike. Owing to their low weight and versatile assembly accessories, Mastervolt products are optimized for easy installation.
Mastervolt has also tailored its business operations to achieve the best possible collaboration with its partners and installers. The company guarantees a unified and transparent price structure and distributes its products via wholesalers only. All products, including inverters for large-scale solar power plants with capacities of several MW, are solely available through Mastervolt’s distribution partners.
